چکیده
From 1990 to 2018, built-up areas in Tallinn, Estonia’s capital city, increased by 25.03%, while its population decreased −10.19%. Investigating the factors affecting urban expansion and modeling it are critical steps detect future trends plan for a more sustainable environment. Different models have been used investigate, predict, simulate recent years. In this paper, we coupled cellular automata, agent-based, Markov (CA–Agent model) novel manner address complexity of dynamic simulation, generate heterogeneity space, define complicated rules, employ suitability analysis. CA–Agent model, cells agents, model’s outcome emerges from agents’ interactions over time using rules behavior their decisions concerning adjacent neighboring probabilities spatial changes. We performed model run two times 2018 2030. The first simulated results were validate performance model. Kappa showed 0.86, indicating relatively high fit, so conducted second 12-year up year illustrated that these parameters, overall will reach 175.24 sq. km with an increase 30.25% total Thus, implementing study area temporal changes land conversion represented present planning requiring regulation encroachment on agricultural forest lands.

Cellular automata urban expansion model based on support vector machines
Land-use change models are used to explore the dynamics and drivers of land-use/landcover change and to inform policies affecting such change. A broad array of applications and modeling methods are available and each type has certain advantages and disadvantages depending on the objective of the research. This work presents an approach combining cellular automata (CA) model and supported vector...
متن کاملUrban Growth Modeling using Integrated Cellular Automata and Gravitational Search Algorithm (Case Study: Shiraz City, Iran)
Cities are growing and encountering many changes over time due to population growth and migration. Identification and detection of these changes play important roles in urban management and sustainable development. Urban growth models are divided into two main categories: first cellular models which are further divided into experimental, dynamic, and integrated models and second vector models. ...
متن کاملDistributive-Law Semantics for Cellular Automata and Agent-Based Models
We present an effort to give formal semantics to the popular but theoretically rather unreflected scientific modelling paradigm of agentor individual-based models. To this end, we give a generic formalization of two-dimensional cellular automata with flexible topology as the abstract basis of such models. The semantic approach of structural operational semantics a la Turi and Plotkin [7], based...
متن کاملComputational Mechanics of Cellular Automata: An Example
We illustrate and extend the techniques of computational mechanics in explicating the structures that emerge in the space-time behavior of elementary one-dimensional cellular automaton rule 54. The CA’s dominant regular domain is identified and a domain filter is constructed to locate and classify defects in the domain. The primary particles are identified and a range of interparticle interacti...
متن کاملIntegration of logistic regression, Markov chain and cellular automata models to simulate urban expansion
This research analyses the suburban expansion in the metropolitan area of Tehran, Iran. A hybrid model consisting of logistic regression model, Markov chain (MC), and cellular automata (CA) was designed to improve the performance of the standard logistic regression model. Environmental and socio-economic variables dealing with urban sprawl were operationalised to create a probability surface of...
